Coati In Monte Verde, Costa Rica
Coatis are reasonably easy to see, but very difficult to photograph as they rustle around in leaves and scrub. This is the best image I got - as one ran up a tree to get a better look at us and see if there was any danger! Notice the lack of ringed tail as seen on coatis in most other countries. Ususally travelling alone, this was a small family group with babies.
