Electricity In Costa Rica

Electricity in Costa Rica runs at 110V AC and uses plugs that have 2 flat prongs, so if you’re coming from the States you should be all set. If you’re coming over from elsewhere (such as litrtle old me from the UK) you’ll likely need to get a travel plug so any of your stuff works.

Remember that laptops and cell (mobile) phones should work with any current so should all work fine in Costa Rica no matter where you got them from while other eletrical items may need a transformer to get the power right.

Personally all I used, apart from my phone and laptop, was a battery charger that I chose before leaving so it will charge batteries anywhere.
